Happy mothafuckin new year!
Now that 2008 is officially over, we can look back at how crazy of a year it’s been. Every year is pretty much “crazy” but we can’t deny that 2008 has made its mark in history.
Let’s look back at 2008 from the eyes of yours truly:
- Formed our LLC for our Internet Marketing company
- Moved back from Arizona after about 10 months of isolation of trying to get our business going (and successfully I might add
)
- Lakers win Western Conference. Went to Game 5 of the finals and sat pretty close for a change! About 8 rows from the floor…tickets were def. expensive but as a die-hard fan, worth it.
- Went to Denver for the first time and partied it up with CPA Empire aka Media Breakaway aka Affiliate.com
- Went to NY for Ad:tech and partied with Global Direct Media, CX Digital, Affiliate.com, and RocketProfit.com.
- Obama is elected as president.
- Economy tumbles to all time low with unemployment rate at its highest in decades.
- Best purchase of the year: Volcano Vaporizer
- I traveled to the 11th, 12th, and 13th dimension, if you know what I mean.
But the biggest event of 2008 was simply that I…..took the Red Pill. Yes, if you’ve watched the Matrix, you kind of know what I’m referring to. But if you have no idea what I’m talking about, let me elucidate: the red pill refers to the truth. The truth about the Federal Reserve, the truth about Obama, McCain, or any other republican/democrat front-runner. The truth about the United States and its imperialistic ways. The truth about our economy and how bad it really is. The truth about 9/11. The truth about how the government spends 10 billion per month (or is per week) on a false war in Iraq but doesn’t put money into our economy. The truth about the bailouts and how the wealthy just got wealthier, by robbing the taxpayer of their money and nationalizing banks. This is the truth that I’m referring to.
It’s a double-edge sword, however, when it comes to knowing the truth. The truth will make you mad as it has made me mad. I’m mad because I am a believer or freedom, liberty and fairness. I am a proud American, but the America of late has made me embarrassed. I am embarrassed that I live in a country where a lot of people just don’t care enough their liberty and freedom. I sit back and wait, because as times get worse, people will be forced to get pissed. But when will that come? Will it be too late? Look at Greece where students are rioting in protest of their government. I wish there was more of that here. Bush, Cheney and company should be sent to jail for their crimes against humanity. The Fed continues to try to fix the economy but they know that they can’t do anything about it. The damage imposed by the Fed has finally met its limit and our economy is going to tumble as a result. Obama is the new hope right? So why does he want to continue the war but simply now shift it to Iran and Pakistan. He’s appointing people who are simply keeping the status quo.
I urge anyone who takes the time to read this to take the red pill with me. I’d rather know the truth than not know it. There’s still a chance that America can be a real democracy once again. But, as history as shown us time after time, it begins with grassroots movement from the people. We elect our representatives. We vote in our Senators. We elect our President. Perhaps its time to start looking at the lesser known people such as Ron Paul. It’s no surprise to me that Ron Paul gets very little press and doesn’t receive the millions and millions and millions of dollars that the republican and democrat front runners receive. But what makes me sad is that people don’t realize that it’s usually the little man, the lesser known guy who actually cares for the people and is not influenced by giant corporations and lobbyists.
2008 has been a very interesting year but I think the next 4 years are going to be huge. Bigger than 2008. Either America has some kind of revolution or we see its demise. And what I’m referring to is the death of liberty and freedom, and true democracy. I will dream tonight of the future. I will dream of a beautiful world where Americans turn off the television set and take the 30 minutes to read the real news online. It’s a world where we check our representatives constantly if they aren’t doing their job. It’s a world where if you are corrupt, we kick your ass out. It’s a world where America withdraws its troops from other countries. It’s a world where America has no debt and on the other hand, invests in education, clean energy, roads, technology, the arts and music. It’s a world where America doesn’t spend 10 billion in a false war, but spends it helping those dying children and people across the world that have less than $1 a day to provide for food and shelter.
I cannot wait to dream tonight…
Peace and love,
Andres
